The Firm
LEE, OLIVER & GAN is a young boutique firm that takes pride in offering sound legal and business counsel that evolves beyond the traditional law firm. The founding partners of the firm come from very different backgrounds and bring with them their unique brand of legal practice with one common link, i.e. the understanding and desire to provide legal support that understands the impact and value of time, business, technology and the absence of borders. We value personalization of our services and enjoy close interaction with our clients.
We are a small firm for a reason: we do not subscribe to the approach that size is everything. There are a number of large Malaysian firms that are able to offer clients a one-stop solution but at rather exorbitant costs. We believe that to be a successful law firm, one needs to be smarter, not bigger. Bigger doesn’t innovate.
The Network
We have an established network of associates/correspondent firms in London, Netherlands, Seoul, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Sydney, Texas, and Arizona. This allows the firm to offer its clients a broader range of expertise on an international scope, thus giving clients a large firm experience but without the expense. Members of the firm are fluent in multiple languages namely English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Korean and Japanese. This allows us to interact effectively with its clients without being hampered by language barriers.
The Price
An undeniable truism of legal service is that the law is rarely cheap. The only thing more expensive is not getting legal advice. Clients have found our fees to be competitive, and we are confident that our clients will never have reason to question the value we provide in terms of responsiveness, vigor, command of the law, and courtesy. Service is our distinguishing characteristic and we back this up with a 'no compromise promise'.
While we would normally charge based on time costs of the partners and associates, we would always encourage clients to agree to a fixed fee arrangement up front to ensure that there are no surprises later on. We can't guarantee outcomes, but we can remove the stress of working with lawyers.
We do not ever bill clients for unnecessary research hours as we are not here to learn at the expense of our clients and consequently our bills will only cover the amount of actual work done for the clients.
If a client is ever unhappy with us, at any time, we will do everything in our power to make things right. Every client receives cell phone numbers for our team members, and an open invitation to use them at any time. And we really mean it. |
